Dana A. Jamison, MDBoard Member, Kronos Longevity Research InstituteDana A. Jamison is a consultant at the Southwest Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She also serves as an orthopedic consultant for the Banner Good Samaritan Wound Care Program and for the St. Vincent de Paul Medical Clinic. From 1997 to 1999, Dr. Jamison was the Team Physician for the Phoenix Mercury Women's National Basketball Association. She also became an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Jamison also worked at the Columbia Phoenix Regional Medical Center Wound Care Clinic Unit and the Arizona Center for Sports Medicine. Dr. Jamison currently serves on the Arizona State University Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing Advisory Council and as a board member for the Arizona Society Magazine. She belongs to several professional societies such as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society, and the National Medical Association. Some of her workshops and seminars include, "Help for Hips: Ease for Knees," "Answers for Knee Problems," "Women's Athletic & Orthopedic Injuries: Prevention for All Ages," and "Common Orthopedic Problems & the Primary Care Physician." Dr. Jamison holds an A.B. in psychology and social relations from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She received her MD from the University of Illinois in 1988 and completed her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She was also a fellow in sports medicine and knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery at the Los Angeles Orthopedic Institute. |
