Rodney Peterson, MS

Research Associate, Kronos Longevity Research Institute

Rodney Peterson is a Research Associate at Kronos Longevity Research Institute (KLRI). He is responsible for various forms of exercise and cognitive testing involved in research. These tests include measures of maximal strength, muscular power and endurance, and graded exercise tests to determine individuals' aerobic capacity and heart function. He also assists with the planning and implementation of research protocols and grant proposals.

Prior to assuming his current role at KLRI, he was a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Kronos Optimal Health. He performed VO2 Max stress tests, total body assessments, developed cardiovascular and muscular exercise routines, and conducted webinars on fitness. He also conducted pulmonary, vision, audiometry, tonometry, and resting metabolic rate tests on clients.

Mr. Peterson was also a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at the Medical Clinic of Houston, where he supervised exercise tests, interpreted EKG's, and performed exercise and pharmacological stress tests.

At Advanced Cardiac Specialists in Gilbert, Arizona, Mr. Peterson developed cardiovascular exercise prescriptions, monitored exercise programs and conducted screenings for cardiac rehab programs.

Mr. Peterson also worked at Red Oak Cardiovascular Center in Houston, Texas. He developed cardiovascular and resistance training programs, taught exercise education classes and performed stress tests.

Mr. Peterson obtained a Bachelor of Science in fitness management in 2002 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He continued his education at Texas A&M University, earning a Master of Science in clinical exercise physiology in 2004. Mr. Peterson also has ACLS and BLS certifications.
